If you want to freshen up your home for cheap with just a little bit of effort throw on a new coat of paint.  The effort is certainly worth the reward.  For me, there is just something awesome about what a fresh coat of paint can do.  Especially if you change to a new color.  I am always amazed at how changing paint can make a home look completely different.  So, put on your painting clothes, get out the rollers and brushes and give it a try.  Truth-be-told, I really hate painting, but love the end product.
